DeAnne Curto
Founder
DeAnne Curto has been connecting with people in various industry sectors throughout her work career. In the defense sector, she was responsible for the oversight of software and interactive technology projects for the United States Army. In the nonprofit sector, she provided foundational leadership in scholarship, merchandise, volunteer management, and member services for one of the top-performing arts organizations in Central Florida. In the academic sector, she has served over 1,000 public / private school students since 2005. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from Florida Atlantic University, a Master of Science in human resources from Rollins College, and graduate certification in academic advising from Kansas State University.
Her passion is to use instructional design to promote higher-order thinking, cooperative learning, and student engagement. Her mission is to promote curiosity, confidence, courage, and service among workers of all ages. When she is not helping people find their next solution, you can find DeAnne in the kitchen, in the landscape, or on the road with a map close by.

Tina Miller Tran

With experience in professional sports, technology startups, and philanthropy, Tina Miller Tran, is a dreamer, doer, and disruptor. Graduating with a 4.0 GPA, Tina earned her Master of Science degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University while interning as an Innovation Catalyst for the Orlando Magic.

Ellie is currently a sophomore pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business at Florida State University. She has an extensive background in digital video production, and she enjoys creating visual images to help others.
Kaci Weaver

Kaci has been involved in the practice of helping and serving others since she was fifteen. She has been involved in the workforce with Georgia Restaurant Ventures for four years and has worked for different events for her mother’s photography company, DreamWeaver Photos.

At the Magic, she helped source technology opportunities for the team and helped manage the operational tasks of their Innovation Lab. Tina also possesses a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology with minors in Chemistry & Biology from Wake Forest University. At Wake Forest, she helped develop an on-campus Makerspace and was the team leader of the campus Technology Innovation Program. Tina also serves as the director of a charitable foundation.
Being the first person in her family to graduate high school, college, and graduate school, mentorship has played a very special role in her life. Tina loves mentoring others – especially young women, minorities, and those who are disadvantaged or who are 1st generation students. To her, mentorship means empowering others to realize their dreams while helping them reach their full potential.

Ellie is currently a sophomore pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business at Florida State University. She has an extensive background in digital video production, and she enjoys creating visual images to help others. Ellie is currently trying to determine her own career pathway. Her interests range from traditional business areas such as real estate to developing effective entrepreneurship strategies in the areas of digital marketing, affiliate marketing, social media, and drop shipping.

Kaci Weaver has been involved in the practice of helping and serving others since she was fifteen. She has been involved in the workforce with Georgia Restaurant Ventures for four years and has worked for different events for her mother’s photography company, DreamWeaver Photos. Kaci has learned discipline, planning skills, and team-building qualities from Civil Air Patrol, where she is currently the Deputy of Support.
Graduating from Savannah Arts Academy with a 3.5 GPA, she is now utilizing her artistic, time management, and creative skills through her role as a Visual Designer on the Wijits Marketing Team. This role helps her to gain a developing understanding of leadership and an appreciation for the work that is done in the background of any thriving company or institution.

Melisa Burgess has spent the better part of her working life helping others. She attained an Associate in Science degree from City College in medical assisting and worked in the medical field for 16 years. After relocating to Chattanooga TN, she spent two years learning the art and science of customer service to support Canadian customers for a major American appliance manufacturer. Recently, she attained her insurance license and has assisted customers in that arena.
Fulfillment for her comes from knowing that what she is doing makes a contribution to the greater good – to support others. It’s her passion. Volunteer work became a mainstay since her early teens, and serving others is an essential component of her DNA. She loves writing and is looking forward to using that talent in her Wijits career. She is excited to see the lives that will be touched by Wijits!

Our Story
WIJITS, Inc. is a woman-owned corporation founded in May, 2020. Its founder, DeAnne Curto, has been an educator since 2005. She left the traditional classroom in 2019 to earn her college advising credentials. A short time later, the pandemic began. This problem needed a solution so…WIJITS (When I Join In The Solution) was born!
WIJITS seeks to provide innovative ways for parents, students, and adults to rethink college and career planning by using online courses, coaching, and the creative use of technologies.
